Remove Brontok Virus Urself

Start ur computer in safe mode with command prompt and type the followinf command to enable registry editor:-

reg delete HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\pol icies\system /v "DisableRegistryTools"
and run HKLM\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\pol icies\system /v "DisableRegistryTools"

after this ur registry editor is enable
type explorer
go to run and type regedit
then follow the following path :-
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Run

on the right side delete the entries which contain 'Brontok' and 'Tok-' words.

after that restart ur system
open registry editor and follow the path to enable folder option in tools menu

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Currentversion\Pol icies\Explorer\ 'NoFolderOption'
delete this entry and restart ur computer

and search *.exe files in all drives (search in hidden files also)
remove all files which are display likes as folder icon.

your computer is completely free from virus brontok!

How To Remove W32.sillyFDC Virus

W32/SillyFDC-D can occasionally copy itself to removable drives, including floppy disk drives and USB Flash Drives . This worm will create a hidden, system file Autorun.inf on the removable drive and copy itself to the same location as the filename "BrO_AcT.exe" and "My SeXy.exe". The file Autorun.inf is designed to start the worm once the removable drive is connected to an uninfected computer.

Temporarily Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
2. Update the virus definitions.
3. Reboot computer in SafeMode
4. Run a full system scan and clean/delete all infected files
5. Delete any values added to the registry.
Navigate to and delete the subkey:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Value: "BrO_AcT" = "\BrO-AcT.exe"
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Value: "svchost" = "\\svchost.exe"

6. Exit registry editor and restart the computer.
7. In order to make sure that W32/SillyFDC-D is completely eliminated from your computer, carry out a full scan of your computer using AntiVirus and Antispyware Software.

Login as SYSTEM in WINDOWS

There is an account in Microsoft Windows that is more powerful than the Administrator account in Windows Operating Systems. That account is called System account it is similar to the root OR super user in the Linux/Unix world . I will show you how to access this system account

If you look at the task manager you will see some processes that are running with System level privileges. Even the Administrator account is unable to do some of the things a system account can do.
System is the highest account in Windows (like root),You can be a super power user by accessing the system account


Note: Accessing system account may cause serious problems.becoz u can even delete anything.u have total control.Dont use this for harmful purposes.

In short.... how to do ??
Step 1.Go to Start->Run cmd.exe
Step 2.Type At TIME /interactive "cmd.exe"
Replace TIME with the current time in 24 hour time format. For example At 19:37 /interactive "cmd.exe" At that time you put in, You will get another cmd box called SCVHOST.EXE
Step 3.Use task manager and terminate explorer.exe

Step 4.Close the first cmd.exe u opened from run.Type in the second cmd box, explorer.exe and press enter.Now you are logged in as the system account.
Be careful because it is the system`s account. You can do anything on that account.
You can even delete windows

To log out....restart the computer is recommended

How this happens?...n my personal note

about 1 yr back......1 searched the whole web for this trick to hack in to a system...just to recover password lost......i know such a hidden user Account exist beyond my reach which has all Superpower....(hint: ANTIVIRUS installs from Administrators but functions from SYSTEM account)
result : failure

about 6 months back....i read an article about the difference of command 'at' and the GUI scheduled tasks in windows......thanks to my friend who asked a doubt about it....
result : hint that 'At' is system process

few weeks back.... i searched the web to find my piece of info and i get what i needed

Today.....i decided to post this as Admin of RAPID-DOWNLOADS....with some more additions....this is my discovery based on above info...simpler i expect

Run->cmd
taskkill explorer
at TIME /interactive "explorer.exe"

u will logon as system....all program executing from here...even the virus has no restrictions..
